Pitfalls of a Fledgling Freelancer

You need to make sure that the client understands that changes affect the cost. You cannot survive on air and sunlight, the hours you put in have to be paid to put food on your table, clothes on your back and coal in the side of my/your aging PC. That’s the way business is done and it should be no different for designers.

District 9, your so fine

Although I did get myself geared up for a movie set around Wikers’ mental and physical decline whilst people race to save his life, I was pleasently suprised by how the film deepened and intensified. You’ll notice this transition too, It happens round about the time heads start blowing up.

Tomas ~ James Palumbo

It might sound absurd and overblown (it totally is and its part of its charm) but its no more absurd than Bankers awarding themselves bonuses even though they have dragged our economy through the dirt. In a country where Big Brother, I’m a Celebrity and Ladette to Lady have entertained our population so thoroughly, is Tomas’ Shit TV, with it’s Rollerblading Dwarves fighting to the death and Celebrity Shit Eating Contests really to hard to imagine?

Bands who should have quit while they’re ahead

I could NOT put down Youth and Young Manhood their first album. Like a gushing teenager I said things like “If I had to listen to one album for the rest of my life, it would be this one!” – A statement I still maintain. It made me want to pick up my guitar and learn it all over again, forgetting how gnarled and musically impotent useless my keyboard and console-game ruined fingers are.
